Tegan Creedy announced as LAVA Advisory Partners’ first hire of 2022

LAVA Advisory Partners are proud to announce the company’s first hire of the year, following the recruitment of Tegan Creedy to their fast-growing team.

Tegan, with her broad legal experience and expertise in corporate and tax law, will be taking on the role of legal counsel at LAVA, supporting their diverse team of M&A professionals on both client and internal operational matters.

Tegan joins LAVA, having trained at Latham & Watkins LLP, qualifying into the corporate tax team in 2019. She subsequently moved to Fieldfisher LLP’s transactional tax department in 2021, where she gained a wealth of experience working with a multinational, diverse client base, including corporations, private equity funds, emerging companies and financial institutions.

In addition to a strong grounding in general corporate law, Tegan has regularly assisted with the structuring of transactions to balance the client’s commercial aims, succeeding in maximising tax opportunities whilst managing potential tax risks. LAVA are particularly excited to bring this in-house offering to their client base, which continues to expand on a strong growth trajectory.

Tegan is also the co-founder and COO of LAVA’s charity partner, Happy Space UK. She will continue this position in parallel to her work at the M&A firm whilst operating from LAVA’s Jermyn Street office.

“Tegan’s arrival at LAVA is hugely valuable for the business. Not only will she be able to keep us close to developments at Happy Space, allowing us to support our charity partner in new and meaningful ways, but her impressive knowledge in legal and tax structuring will be a great asset to our team and clients. Her insight and experience is yet another way we’ll be able to provide tailored and alternative solutions to our rapidly growing portfolio.”

Simon Woodcock Partner of LAVA Advisory Partners

Tegan commented, “I am thrilled to be joining the LAVA team as legal counsel and to be working amongst a forward-thinking, energetic team that prides itself on strategic and creative thinking. To be taking on a role that involves helping the LAVA team operationally as well as better enabling clients to achieve their goals is an opportunity I feel very lucky to have.”

Tegan’s hire reflects LAVA’s dedication to building an M&A team that fosters different perspectives and personalities. Recruiting outside of industry norms allows LAVA to create a diverse workforce that encourages each other to push boundaries, think outside of the box and deliver the best results in every scenario.

LAVA’s partnership with Happy Space UK is part of the company’s mission to use their fortunate position, resources and expertise to make a positive difference to society. Last year, LAVA secured Pending B Corp status to demonstrate their commitment to building a more inclusive and sustainable economy and, in line with this status, have pledged to donate an equivalent of 2.5% of their revenue each year to support charitable organisations.

At the close of 2021, LAVA also announced their strategic investment with Furthr, the world’s most engaging climate action platform. Embracing Furthr’s initiatives and products, LAVA are planting a tree for every day LAVA exists, and employees have access to the monthly subscription service, offsetting the company’s carbon footprint and working towards a carbon-neutral future for the business as it grows.
